Smoking flower to ease symptoms of stress and anxiety

I went through the process of qualifying for my medical marijuana card for the purpose of smoking flower.

My job causes a tremendous amount of stress, and I deal with social anxiety.

My symptoms manifest into migraines, insomnia, shortness of breath, profuse sweating and depression. I have arranged my job responsibilities to work entirely from home. This lessens my issues but doesn’t treat them. I tried traditional prescription medicine and felt like a zombie. These medications actually worsened some of my symptoms and had me worrying over long-term health problems. Cannabis has been an ideal solution. As a plant-based medicine, cannabis is incredibly safe. There are a wide variety of consumption methods, potency and strains available. Smoking is my preferred way of medicating. I enjoy the process as well as the effects. There is something very relaxing about rolling a joint, assembling a blunt or packing a pipe. I appreciate the quick onset of effects. The local dispensary carries over five dozen unique strains of smokable flower, covering indicas, sativas and hybrids of all levels of THC to CBD ratios. As I’ve gained experience with smoking weed, I’ve learned to pay little attention to the categories. I am more interested in the percentages of cannabinoids and types of terpenes that make up the chemical profile of the strain. I have found my favorites to alleviate the pain of a headache, help me fall asleep and ease stress. Working from a home office, I am not worried about discretion. The pungent aroma of burning cannabis is no problem. I am careful not to over imbibe during the workday, but a hit or two provides better focus and productivity.
