I realized that I was losing money using paper timecards. I started listening in to my budtenders talk and noticed that they thought punching in and out was a very lenient thing. They wouldn’t always punch out when they were done working. I heard one budtender talk about using the bathroom, buying himself lunch and then punching out. He got an extra half an hour of pay doing that. I knew one girl never clocked out for lunch breaks. I don’t know if she was too dumb to do this or wanted the extra pay. It was small things here and there that were bothering me. People were getting paid for not working. Nobody was respecting the timecards. I realized that I was losing quite a bit of revenue everyday doing this. So I looked into cannabis timekeeping software. It is now a computer program that my employees need to punch in and out of. There is no way to write a different number on the card. There is no card, it is all automated. I also have security cameras mounted. They have set hours too. So there is no using the bathroom or pretending to not take a lunch break. Everything is much more strict and rigid. I am really glad that I did this. I have saved quite a bit of money this quarter after investing in the dispensary software. You would think that buying cannabis software would set me back. It has more than paid for itself. It was worth every penny.
