Indica and Sativa: Polar Opposites

A lot of people are still unaware of the basic facts about cannabis, like all of the ways they can help medically.

They may be stunned to know that there is actually more than one strain of cannabis.

While they are both in the same family, they could not be more opposite of each other in pretty much every way. Sativa grows very tall and very thin, with very narrow leaves. Indica is much thicker and bushier, with leaves much wider than Sativa’s. They are also different shades of green, with Sativa being a lighter hue, and Indica growing in a much darker green. Indica is a high-yield plant, growing at a very fast pace. Sativa grows much slower, requiring more light and time to grow fully. Indica is higher in CBD and lower in THC, while Sativa has the polar opposite chemical balance. Indica, therefore, is used for mental and muscular relaxation. Sativa is used for anxiety and depression. Indica works better for acute pain, nausea, and increasing appetite. Sativa is better for chronic pain while it increases focus and creativity. Each plant has a hormonal effect as well. When Indica is used, it increases dopamine production, which triggers the reward section of the brain. Sativa increases serotonin when used, which is helpful for anxiety, learning, sleep, mood, and suppressing hunger. Indica is much better for use at night, while Sativa is better to use during the day. Either strain someone looks at can provide nothing but benefits. If someone has any of the symptoms listed above, I recommend they look into usage of one of these strains. I personally use both.
