A new legal cannabis store just opened up a block from my house.
- I know they were all sorts of petitions to try to keep it from opening up in this nice neighborhood.
I guess the petitions failed because here the store is. Honestly, I don’t mind the legal cannabis store being here. I refused to sign the petitions when my neighbors came to my door and asked for my signature. I think this annoyed them a little bit. Ever since I refused to sign the petition, I’ve been getting some weird looks from some of my neighbors. I guess word got out that I am a pothead or something. I will admit, I do partake in legal cannabis from time to time. I used to have to drive about 20 minutes away to get my legal cannabis. Now, I can just walk to the store. Of course, I can feel my neighbors watching me when I do walk to the store. I don’t care. I’m too old to care. Besides, I’ve seen a few of my neighbors in the new cannabis store. They look away when they see me but I don’t know what everyone so upset about. cannabis is legal now. This new store is really nice too. They have all sorts of marijuana products and you can even order the products online and they’ll take them out to your car for you. I’ve seen a few of my neighbors doing that too. I guess they’re embarrassed to be seen in the store. It doesn’t matter, I recognize their cars. I think it’s funny. I’m making a mental note of the neighbors who are utilizing this new cannabis store and those that look at the rest of us all judgmental like.
