I wanted to be a software developer when I first started college, but i wasn’t a fan of math and wasn’t so enjoyable at coding and programming, however that’s where most of the work comes into play, so it wasn’t a nice fit for me.
I ended up switching to electrical engineering instead.
It’s not that I didn’t try to become a programmer, as I took many programming classes in my first year of college. I appreciated the fun tasks like making little games and websites for people I knew, but the rest of it was challenging, and while I still had to take math classes for electrical engineering, it was more akin to my own interests, despite not going into software development, I still know some of the people I met in those classes in college, then one of my friends is a software developer for cannabis dispensary companies! He comes up with the point of sale systems and their online ordering systems for cannabis companies, and some of the dispensaries in our state have the worst software for their ordering systems, but you can’t input discounts before you check out, and some of them you can’t even set up delivery orders without calling the dispensary personally. I love the cannabis dispensaries that have the best software for their ordering systems. It makes my life a lot easier when I am trying to get my medical cannabis products; Especially if you’re somebody like me who prefers to buy cannabis products through online delivery. In these situations the cannabis dispensary software is really substantial for keeping customers in the long term.
