Making fewer trips to the cannabis dispensary lately

At first I was really happy about pot being legalized, but that quickly wore off. For a while it felt like the good guys won, but that wasn’t true. Pot legalization hasn’t really changed anything in my life, with the exception of paying more for it. I expected prices to drop once weed was legalized, but the opposite was true. Thanks to extra fees and taxes, the cost for an ounce of weed is higher than I have ever paid in my life. If it weren’t for my neighbor Jasper, I would have to cut back on my cannabis consumption. Jasper lives in the other half of this duplex, and we share the same backyard, so I know he isn’t growing the marijuana himself. I have no clue where he gets so much cannabis, and I don’t want to ask him. I’m better off not knowing. The important part is that I can buy my cannabis at what I called “throwback prices.” Seriously I am buying an ounce of kind bud for the same price I paid ten years ago! A pot dealer doesn’t have as much overhead as a cannabis dispensary, so Jasper can sell at discount prices and still make a profit for himself. The weed is good but nowhere near as high-octane as some of the strains at the cannabis dispensary. That’s okay, because I am saving so much money I don’t mind if the marijuana is of a slightly lower caliber. I hope Jasper never moves away, because I can’t go back to paying cannabis dispensary prices!
