We all have defining moments in our lives.
That goes for all of us whether the two of us are aware of them or not.
But some of the things that I garnered as a small child stuck with me for the rest of my life. I have laughed at the TV lines of a shrink telling some guy to lie on the couch and tell them all about their childhood. What seemed like bunk to me then, has become so much more true the older I’ve become. I totally see how true all that could be now. I suppose that I have my own views in adult life that were planted there as a child. The use of Recreational marijuana is a fantastic example. For my folks, they made a point of scaring us about cannabis and cannabis products. There was nothing true or rational about their statements of course… Plus, they had no clue what they were talking about given they had never even tried smoking cannabis or marijuana as they called it. What was even more fantastic was the fact that they were both really heavy drinkers. All the fearmongering based around marijuana products had an effect on me. I steered well clear of cannabis and cannabis products through university. I never even tried a pot brownie. But then, I took a sizable relief and went to visit a local cannabis spot near me some decades later. I simply wanted to see for myself what this marijuana thins was all about. I am grateful to the friendly staff at the local cannabis spot. They showed me some cannabis edibles with a low THC content. That ended up being just the right introduction for me. And I must say that I’m a large fan of sativa strains.
