My grandma makes the best pot brownies ever

My recipe for pot brownies is actually an old family recipe, believe it or not.

My grandma taught it to me when I was a teenager, right after she caught me smoking in her attic.

I thought she would be mad, but she just smiled at me and said she understood. Grandma used to be a wild child, and although she was a nice, gentle old lady now, she still liked to party. She explained to me that it was better to eat your cannabis instead of smoking it, because then no one could tell you were high. She kept a mortar and pestle in his kitchen, an old one made of marble, and that is what she used to finely grind up her cannabis. She would work the cannabis leaves and buds for ten minutes, turning them into a fine, sand-like powder, that she would then sprinkle into the finished brownie batter. She explained to me that the cannabis was the final step before cooking, and to sprinkle it in, not to mix it in too deeply. I have tried making pot brownies several different ways, and I have to say that grandma’s are not only the best, they get me the highest. Maybe there is something about making pot brownies with love that gets you higher than just cannabis. But I tell you this – whenever I make her pot brownies and follow the recipe exactly, they turn out just like hers. I even bought my own mortar and pestle so I can grind my cannabis just like she does.
