I’m working to make a concerted effort to start being around more like minded people.
This is something that is just now sort of dawning on me.
And it’s not because of groups on the internet. I’m talking about people who like to do the same sorts of things that I tend to do. It’s just nice to share a passion or a modern experience with people who like doing the thing that you love. I realize this is sort of a no brainer in a lot of ways. Of course this is why people join clubs. Even so, that is not exactly what I’m trying to do. It’s kind of like the way I approach recreational marijuana. I like using cannabis because it allows myself and others to approach our life with less limits. A small amount of a good sativa strain makes myself and others realize that there are limitless possibilities for me. So many of those scenarios are positive. With clubs and some of the internet groups, there tend to be a leaning toward groupthink. And that is something I want to miss out on. So I’m trying to find like minded people who are also well rounded. Similar to how I joined a community garden. While I like to garden, it’s not our sole purpose. And there I get to meet people who tend to be gentle and comloving like I am. Same thing goes for when I am down at the cannabis dispensary. Men and women are all like minded, positive and kind. I have never been in the cannabis dispensary when I didn’t share a kind word with a fellow human being. This is the connection that I seek now.
