It’s weird that one can often have to face the thing that they fear most.
This is certainly the situation in my case.
From the time I was a very little boy, I had a near irrational fear of pain. A fear of pain is of course a natural thing. Yet, being in constant fear of pain is not. This had a lot to do with the fact that my grandfather lived with us at the end of his life. I was really young but can remember how awful and tortuous his pain was. I only wish that he could have had access to medical cannabis. Instead, he hardly would even use the medicine he was prescribed I would learn later. Well, after a lifetime of fearing pain, I was faced with it and had to deal with it. I developed a condition that put me in a near constant state of pain and discomfort. Thanks to medical cannabis, I was able to meet this situation head on. My doctors kept giving me medications that required me to take more and more. This was bad on a number of levels. However, I was acutely aware of the fact that I was becoming dependent. This is when I decided to do what I had to do to get medical cannabis. I went through the process of meeting the medical marijuana regulations. This allowed me to shop at a medical marijuana store. I was able to find the right strains and combinations to help manage and even alleviate much of the pain.
