Fighting for cannabis legalization reform

Probably the stupidest thing I ever did as a teenager was riding with one of my friends (an acquaintance, really, I barely knew him beyond his name) out to a guy that he heard about who sold pot from his farm! Both of us drove for an hour, in the middle of the night, only to be greeted by a silly looking bearded guy toting a shotgun! For one brief, shining moment I thought I was about to die, and realized how terribly stupid it was to do something so dangerous for a little bit of cannabis; This is the main reason that I have worked so hard the last few years with the local government to have cannabis decriminalized, and medicinal or recreational marijuana, it makes no difference to me, I just guess that no one should put themselves in harm’s way for something love cannabis; People say to myself and others that marijuana is a gateway to other drugs, and I call BS on that, because the difference between smoking lawn and taking pills or snorting Dunkin Donuts Coffee is enormous.

Cannabis has significant medicinal properties, this is something agreed upon by science, and never should have been illegal in the first place .Other people say that young people should not be using cannabis, and changing the laws would encourage them to do it… I laugh at the thought that most normal, everyday American teens aren’t going to use marijuana regardless of the laws. It is a waste of time and taxpayer money to arrest and prosecute people for cannabis, the people I was with and I should save that for the criminals.
