There’s nothing more thrilling than horror movies and good cannabis

There are numerous combinations of food and wine that bring out the best of one another, they are known as “pairings.” The whole point of a pairing is to heighten and highlight the best qualities of each part.

The wine should deepen the taste of the food, & cleanse the palate between bites, while the food should bring out the notes of the wine.

An ideal pairing makes each area of it a great deal better. I want to do something entirely similar, except by pairing up films with strains of cannabis. It might sound nuts, but hear me out — nothing improves a film more than great marijuana, so why not select the best marijuana for any particular film? I typically want to get completely wrecked when I check out hardcore gore films, to desensitize myself, so I tend to go hard on hybrid strains on those kind of afternoons. If I happen to be watching something more cerebral, with a good amount of twists and turns in the story, I want to keep my wits about me so I love green haze which gives me a fantastic full-body high while leaving my mind clear. If I am going to do a series of films, say an entire slasher film franchise, after that I use cannabis edibles as a baseline, and use sativa strains for the course of the day. This blend of cannabis and edibles is a really nice balance for me, and allows me to focus on the films. There are times when I will drink beer as well, but I care about using cannabis without alcohol for a cleaner, longer lasting high.
