I always hear from my father how he used to grow his own crops

My father told me that because he grew up on the farm he had to grow his own crops.

  • I honestly could rest plus listen to my old man talk forever.

His upbringing is truly fascinating to me, since it is such a departure from my own life experiences. I was raised as a suburban kid, with your normal suburban kid complications. When he was my age he was taking care of livestock, building fences, plus driving a truck, and anything the family actually needed. They had to do it on their own, from heat to food to shelter. When my pop, as a teenager, wanted to smoke marijuana, he had to grow the marijuana all on his own. These days we literally have a cannabis dispensary right up the street, plus they are building another one across town. Growing my own marijuana plants regularly seemed to me that it was more work than needed, because to me marijuana had regularly been genuinely straight-forward to obtain… For my old man it was a different time plus location, a completely different way of life, plus he grew his own marijuana crops for a long time! He said that by the time he was graduating from high school he had a field of hemp plus marijuana, plus he was able to pay for his community school night classes with the profits from that harvest. It’s crazy, he still laughs at me plus says “youngsters these days don’t even know how to work for their marijuana, you just head on over to the store.” Let’s just hope they never make marijuana illegal again in the near future!
