A few years ago, my friend Kenny and his girlfriend decided to spend a few months on a pot farm far from their hometown.
They knew the owners of the farm from Kenny’s old job as a barista at a coffee shop in his hometown.
He made many friends from this job, and it took him many places. From Portland to Columbia and back to Hawaii, Kenny was able to see a good portion of the world and make some extra cash by doing so. Kenny went to the West Coast to learn how to grow marijuana. Although he had no experience, his friend who got him the job knew of his strong work ethic from the job they shared as baristas. When he finally got to where he was going, he decided he was going to learn everything he could about growing marijuana. He was on this particular farm for 6 months and learned a lot about growing marijuana. He had never had an interest in this type of agriculture until he visited the farm and realized that it was more of an artform than anything else. He used his free time to talk to the biologists about the best ways to get these plants to grow bigger and healthier. He did not imagine that there was so much science involved in the process of growing marijuana. Kennys short time on this farm led him to the realization that this is something he wanted to be involved in on a higher level. Kenny traveled the world with his girlfriend to understand the history of marijuna growing.
