Dispensary supervisor – A.K.A. big man on campus

Now I needed to know how to respectfully lead my staff of budtenders! I think I know how to sell pretty well at this point, although my people have to be kept up to date as well

Having worked in the cannabis dispensary for over 5 years, I had to do a whole ton of training to make sure I was prepared. I needed to believe in the products so I had CBD training, among other cannabis products. Not only do you need to believe in the products and what they can offer, but the side effects of that you are selling also need to be known! I had to do thorough budtender training, too. I did online dispensary sales training for about a month, just to learn how to appropriately sell to a customer. It is more than knowing the product or recommending it, as a budtender needs to maintain trust! If they can create a positive environment, that creates better business. We have to be prepared for the old user too, as well as the medical marijuana patient or first time user. There are a lot of different situations to cover, so liability risks are always one of our chief concerns! I finally became the supervisor at the dispensary I worked at for years, so I took it upon myself to get dispensary supervisor training! There is no such thing as too much expertise, especially with something like this. Now I needed to know how to respectfully lead my staff of budtenders! I think I know how to sell pretty well at this point, although my people have to be kept up to date as well. The first thing I did as a supervisor was one of my best decisions, as I had my whole staff do a dispensary sales team training session as a single group. Since we all worked together to complete the training, l received tons of praise from my people as they felt better equipped.
